Toomer's Corner Oaks
Auburn University
Auburn, Alabama
Unframed: 16" x 25½"
Framed in Carved Bark and triple matted: 21" x 31"
Not long after Stephen Malkoff finished his rendition of Tiger - War Eagle news broke about the attempted poisoning of the Auburn University's iconic Toomer's Corner oak trees which have served as a part of the school's tradition for more than 40-years. Shortly after the news of the poisoning, Malkoff began to artisically document the trees which serve as an entrance way to the university. The trees also are a rallying point should the Auburn Tigers win a football game which results in the trees being strung in toilet paper.
Hand crafted in exquisite detail each print is signed and numbered by the artist and comes with a certificate of authenticity. Limited to only 5,000 prints and 100 giclées.
This work of art will no doubt become a collectible as has previous Stephen Malkoff art.
For the framed option, a custom carved bark wooden frame has been selected by the artist. Prints are triple matted in school colors and protected with high-quality glass. Frame also matches Malkoff's Tiger - War Eagle.
